Internal Gas/Liquid Separators are designed to be installed inside of receivers, steam drums, and other vessels where they will remove 99% of particles and liquid droplets of 10 microns or larger from air, gas, or steam.
These are centrifugal separators that cause the gas stream to enter a controlled centrifugal flow. This action forces the entrained liquids and solids to the outer wall of the internal separator where they fall to a bottom drain. The exit stream is drawn from the clean and dry centre of the separator, which assures a clean, dry gas stream at the outlet.
The Wright-Austin Type 60-I and 70-I separator elements are for customers that wish to fabricate their own vessels. The patented Wright-Austin designs are so efficient that we routinely supply our internal elements to other manufactures of gas/liquid separators!
Eaton internal gas liquid separators use centrifugal motion to force the entrained liquids and solids to the outer wall of the separator where they collect and fall to a bottom drain. Drawn from the clean and dry center of the separator, the exit gas stream is free of condensate, which corrodes exposed metal components. Downstream installation improves the effectiveness of heat exchangers, intercooler and aftercooler equipment, steam turbines.
Eaton separators have no moving parts. All components are either bolted or welded into place. Therefore parts lists are not available. The separators are bolted, threaded, or welded into the lines. They are self-cleaning, and do not need lubrication or maintenance. For this reason, lubricating, operating and maintenance manuals are not available.
